Meirav Heik

Meirav Heik, from Ramat Gan, fell sick at age 20. While serving in the Israeli Army she was diagnosed with a genetic illness, involving severe muscular degeneration, called HIBM. She gradually deteriorated and lost the basic faculties necessary for day to day functioning. All her limbs are presently paralyzed.

Merav has many expenses; she needs specific foods, medications and Dr.'s visits not fully covered by health insurance, physiotherapy and acupuncture as well as care taker fees. The small monetary assistance she receives from the State does not suffice to cover her many expenses.

Her total monthly expenses after aside from what she receives from the govermment are 30,000 NIS!
