This week, over a dozen staff members from the Jerusalem Waldorf Astoria took a drive across town to service a population at the other end of the financial spectrum from their usual hotel guests. At the Yad Eliezer warehouse, they packed numerous food boxes with basic food essentials to help families in Israel living below the poverty line. For many of these families, the food boxes that they receive from Yad Eliezer are literally a lifeline providing nutritional stability that insures the family's health and well-being.
Hilton Worldwide operates high service hotels in 93 countries across the world. For the past three years they have celebrated community service week, investing locally in hundreds of projects for the betterment of the communities that they serve. Aside from the time that they donated to Yad Eliezer, they made a generous contribution of 23,720 shekels to help Yad Eliezer continue their important work.
We knew that the Waldorf Astoria is known for exceptional service, but their expansion of the meaning of service is impacting communities across the world.
