Support Israeli widows and orphans in need
Two groups of women in Yad Eliezer's Keren Alamanos
recently returned from incredible trips abroad. Fifty almanos in each group were treated to a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of them: a four day excursion to Prague. Their itineraries were packed with activities including tours of historic landmarks such as the Old Royal Palace, attendance at changing of the guard ceremonies, nature sites, cable car rides, and visits to the Maharal's kever, among others. Beautiful accommodations, breakfasts and dinners (lunches were on-the-go), added to the participants' enjoyment.
With so much on their minds every day of the year-children, jobs, finances, these women rarely have a moment to catch a breath, let alone get on a plane and visit a different country, so the experience was especially meaningful and appreciated.
"We simply don't have the words to convey our thanks and gratitude to you for this wonderful trip", writes one participant. "You took care of every detail; the trips, the food, the hotel, the shopping-it was all so wonderful. I thank Hashem that He sent us such caring people as yourselves. May it be His will that all your wishes be fulfilled for the good and He should repay you over and over again for your kindness."
As Pesach quickly approaches, the trips were the perfect getaway, bringing relaxation and joy, helping one hundred women rejuvinate in time for the holiday.
Donations to the Keren Almanos
are what make opportunities like this one, possible.
