Yad Eliezer distributes over one million dollars in just one month

Yad Eliezer is proud to have been at the forefront of providing financial relief to countless families affected by Covid 19's fallout, right from the start. In April alone, thanks to donations, we distributed over a million dollars to 2,737 families in 67 cities throughout Israel. The aid is lifesaving-helping put food on the table, complete rent payments, cover utility expenses and provide for other needs in homes run by low-income single mothers and families who already struggle with poverty related issues that have been worsened by the crisis. 

It is also granting support for families who have been thrown unexpectedly into emergency mode due to newfound parental job loss. With children to feed and bills to pay but incomes taken away overnight, they've suddenly found themselves in new territory, grasping to stay afloat. We are driven to keep them functioning with dignity and prevent them from becoming just another poverty statistic.

Yad Eliezer's goal is to sustain all the families we reach, and then help them break out of the poverty cycle completely. We do this at an extremely high level of effectiveness, which makes us one of the top Jewish charities in Israel.
