You’re planning a party, but it just doesn’t feel like enough.
You want to give your loved ones more than a party; you want to give them something truly special. You want to make your simcha complete by sharing your blessings with those in need. You don’t want to give a generic donation; you want the needy to share in the joy of your personal happy occasion and to celebrate with you.
You know that thousands of families in Israel are living in hunger, and you want to make a difference. You know that one third of Israeli children will go without dinner tonight, and you wish that you could help. During this special time, you want to reach out and allow your happy occasion to touch others, but how?
Let your occasion move you to action with Yad Eliezer.
Table For Two Meals for Over 280 Poor Families Every Month
Making a party? Mazal tov!
Jewish tradition describes how those celebrating happy occasions would lend their joy to others by sharing their festive meal with the poor. The donated meal was called the seudat ani’im, the “feast of the poor”. Yad Eliezer allows you to continue that tradition today.
Through the Yad Eliezer Table For Two program, food stipends are distributed to needy families in Israel during the same time period as your affair. The greater your donation, the greater their joy and the more meaningful your celebration. Let your birthday, anniversary, bris, pidyon haben, upsherin, kiddush, bat mitzvah, yartzeit, siyum or other special occasion mean much more.
Enjoy your happy day with the knowledge that the poor of Israel are sharing in the celebration.
The Almanos Fund helps widows in need, who still have children at home, with costs ranging from daily living expenses to medical treatments and weddings for their kids. Help us alleviate some of their pain by lightening some of their burden.
